Project Director, Marketing Research

Permanent position

CROP, a market intelligence consulting firm established in 1965, is looking for an experienced project manager to join the team.

The project manager is responsible for conducting and overseeing all stages of the research projects, as well as supervising and providing professional support to the project coordinators who will assist him/her, thus ensuring we deliver quality work that meets clients' expectations.

Task description:

  • Plan and coordinate the specific projects he or she is entrusted with
  • Follow-up with clients, partners and suppliers
  • Build sampling and weighting plans
  • Draft quantitative questionnaires and discussion guides
  • Moderate focus groups or in-depth one-on-one interviews
  • Supervise the work and provide coaching to the project coordinators who will assist him/her
  • Prepare quantitative or qualitative research reports
  • Assure quality control of research data and reports
  • Analyze data and discuss findings and recommendations to the client with the vice presidents
  • Give presentations of results to the clients
  • Follow up on client requests
  • Help draft proposal of services
  • Ensure respect of project budgets and timelines



  • 8-10 years' experience in marketing research (quant & qual.), supplier side
  • Master's degree in Marketing or Marketing Research (or related field)
  • Bilingualism (English-French) required, written and spoken
  • Knowledge of the main Office Suite programs (namely PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
  • Mastering of big data software considered an asset
  • Creative, ingenious and available, with a strong interest in research and a solid understanding of marketing strategy
